Haven’t you always wanted to whizz along the rails under your own power?
Now, for the first time in Luxembourg, you have the opportunity to do so on four-seater rail bikes, also called draisines.
While you cycle along the track between Fond-de-Gras and Bois-de-Rodange and enjoy the peace and fresh air, you can get an idea of how much power the locomotives used to have to muster to pull the extremely heavy wagons loaded with iron ore along this track from a standing start.
The duration of the round trip, including the waiting time needed to turn the draisine, is approx. 45 minutes.
