The artist Jacques Schneider, known for his works related to public forces and the grand-ducal family, has been working on the memory of Luxembourg for 15 years, including its industrial past. For this exhibition, 5 pieces from his extensive “Steel Industry” project were carefully chosen to unveil the raw beauty and significance of our industrial heritage.
In an ecological spirit, we have made the conscious choice to locally print the artworks on PVC-free canvas.
The conclusion of the exhibition didn’t mark the end of the journey; it was, in fact, the commencement of a new chapter. The exhibition is dismantled, and the canvases are transported to Wiltz, where they find their way to the DONO workshop, a cooperative of socio-cultural enterprises. There, skilled seamstresses will transform them into pouches, breathing a second life into these artistic creations.
Two types of pouches have arisen from this artistic collaboration:
Purchase your own and pay an elegant tribute to our industrial past, seamlessly blending art and functionality into your everyday life.
