Train 1900 Open House: The Diesel Edition!

Special Day at Fond-de-Gras – Diesel & Steam

As part of the Train 1900 Open Days, Fond-de-Gras invites you to enjoy a unique railway experience with an exceptional display of historic 1950s diesel locomotives.

A remarkable fleet will be in action throughout the day. The historic diesel locomotives of the 1604 Classics association, visiting especially for the occasion, will bring the tracks of Fond-de-Gras to life. The Train 1900 Z151 railcar will also be operating.

At the same time, one of Train 1900’s steam locomotives will be running throughout the day, offering visitors a striking contrast between two iconic eras of railway history.

The Minièresbunn mining railway will, of course, also be in service, completing the unique atmosphere of Luxembourg’s historic railway valley.

At the charming Fond-de-Gras station buffet, visitors can enjoy grilled food, homemade cakes and refreshing drinks throughout the day.
