Saint Barbara’s Day 2026: Celebrating tradition with a festive 3rd edition!
Deeply rooted in our history, Saint Barbara’s Day pays tribute to the miners who worked deep underground, sometimes risking their lives. To keep this heritage alive in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the Centre national de la culture industrielle (CNCI) and Kulturfabrik are joining forces once again, with the participation of MUAR, to invite you to the 3rd edition of the Saint Barbara’s Day Makers’ Market.
Join us on Saturday, 5 December 2026, for a unique and festive event. Visitors of all ages can take part in creative workshops (making miners’ tokens, rubber stamp carving, embroidery on photographs…), watch a live blacksmithing demonstration, enjoy the music of the Harmonie des Mineurs and the immersive VJ set by Sylvgheist Maëlström, and discover many more surprises.
Minett Park Fond-de-Gras will also be taking part with its LegoPrint workshop, inviting children and adults alike to discover a fun and original printing technique.
To complete the festive atmosphere, you can enjoy a beer specially brewed for the occasion by the Wait & See microbrewery, along with a delicious burger from La Pitance du Louis.
An event not to be missed for a memorable time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming you to Kulturfabrik to celebrate Saint Barbara’s Day!
Free admission from 5 pm.
