On June 1st, between 10 am and 6 pm, explore Lasauvage from every angle and delve into the fascinating history of this former mining village.
Visit to the Count Fernand de Saintignon’s rose garden:
3 pm, duration 1 hour
At the beginning of the 20th century, Luxembourg was renowned for its rose culture, used to adorn parks and castles around the world. In 2022, the municipality of Differdange paid tribute to this tradition by inaugurating a rose garden, where you can admire these iconic flowers and engage with the gardeners who care for them.
POSTPONED: due to the weather, the roses have not yet bloomed. The visit will be postponed to a later date.
Mine exploration/”Minièresbunn”:
11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm, duration 1 to 1.5 hours
During the era of mining, mining trains were essential for transporting loaded ore wagons out of the mine. Today, the “Minièresbunn” offers an impressive experience with authentic equipment during the underground mine tour.
Crosnière Trail Visit:
10 am, duration 2 hours
Discover this picturesque trail with the Nature school teachers. Witness to industrial history, it reveals the remains of past mining activities and the gradual transformation of landscapes into incredibly rich natural spaces.
Guided village tour:
11 am (LUX) and 2 pm (FR), duration 1 to 1.5 hours
Explore the captivating past of Luxembourg’s most French village. Accompanied by our guides, delve into the fascinating legends surrounding Lasauvage, its workers’ housing, and its historical monuments.
Museums open:
1 pm to 6 pm
Discover the multitude of historical buildings and museums in the village on your own: the Salle des Pendus, the “Espace muséologique”, the Eugène Pesch Museum, and the Sainte Barbe Church.

Price: guided tours and the mining train are free for the occasion!
