Traditional celebration of Saint Barbara, patron saint of the miners
As every year, the traditional feast of St. Barbara, patroness of minors, takes place in Lasauvage. In the south of Luxembourg, December 4 is a day of remembrance in honor of all the victims of the mine.
The program:
- 18:45: Meeting next to the Brasserie de la Mine
- 19:00: Laying of wreaths at the Monument to the Fallen Miners
- 19:15: Start of the procession
- 19:30: Mass at the community hall (Poppespënnchen)
- 20:20: Departure to Minièresbunn Doihl
- 20:30: Reception in the Doihl mine gallery with an honorary wine offered by the Municipal Administration of Differdange
A free shuttle bus will run between Differdingen (Parking des Hauts Fourneaux) and Lasauvage. Departure at 18:15. Return at 20:15 and 21:15.
Organized by the Minièresbunn Doihl, the Saint Barbara choir Lasauvage and the municipality of Differdange
