Founded in 1907 during the festivities celebrating Rumelange’s newly awarded status as a city, the Rumelange Symphonic Circle was born from the passion of music lovers eager to promote symphonic music. Despite interruptions caused by economic crises and world conflicts, the ensemble has continually reinvented itself over the decades, becoming an essential cultural figure.
Having flourished under the baton of talented conductors such as Gusty Schreiner and Georges Wagner, the orchestra is now returning to its roots with Sidney Scho. Comprised of 35 amateur musicians, students, and semi-professionals, the Cercle continues to captivate audiences while honoring a rich and vibrant musical tradition.
